    Hey Chris,
Really looking forward to seeing what discussion starts here, and what findings come out of your work. I think there is more than enough energy to really push forward a more consolidated set of open standards in this space currently.

    Hi,

just this small bit of feedback on the format: I guess video is cool, both to watch and produce, but it asks more from the user…

The fantastic thing about audio podcasts is that you can make that little unproductive time that’s left more useful… listening to a good conversation in the gym or during the daily (car) commute…

For video you have to sit down with a screen, which makes the threshold a lot higher…

I haven’t found out whether there are online video hosters who produce an mp3 audio version of uploaded video content automatically - that would be a good solution I guess…

Looking forward to hear more of it,

I had posted a comment on your interview at Like it Matters with Brian Oberkirch concerning DiSO which I don’t think he has allowed yet. It went something like … Have there been any talks as to what or where will be the center hub for people to sign-up to create the one profile that rules them all in which all other networks will connect/pull information in and out of.

Could we put some more light on this question?

(OpenID delegation from http://johneckman.com/ failed for some reason?)

Might already be on your list of topics but I’d love to see OpenMediaWeb interview / talk with / collaborate with the Participatory Culture Foundation[1], the folks behind Miro[2] and Make Internet TV[3].

I think what they’re doing (not just the Miro player but also educating people about how to make open media) is a critical piece of an Open Media Web.
